the non-legal part

it seems like i am required to provide this because I run anonymized analytics that nonetheless collect data from everyone visiting the site. the legal part explains what i collect and why i do not nor cannot use it for malicious purposes, but if you want to opt out of it you should install uBlock Origin, which should be as essential as a condom for your internet browsing habits anyway.

The Legal Part

This website collects anonymous data for analytics purposes provided by GoatCounter. The analytics are used for monitoring page traffic and gaining insights into user experience. The data is non-identifying and is not shared with any third parties.

Apart from the analytics, the website does not collect any data.

I reserve the right to make changes to this policy. Any update will become effective as soon as it’s posted on this page.

Analytics

The following information is collected:

• URL of the visited page - used to determine what pages are being visited most often on the website.
• Referer header - top-level URL of the previous page user was on, useful for learning the source of the site traffic i.e. where the users are coming from.
• Browser and system information (derived from User-Agent header or HTTP client hints) - useful for determining what browsers are most commonly used to visit the website.
• Screen size - useful for evaluating the website’s responsiveness and functionality for common user resolutions.
• Country and region name derived from the IP address (generalized to a single country, with further specification of a region for the United States, Russian Federation, and People’s Republic of China) - not used for anything specific other than having a glance at user demographics.

No personal information (such as IP address) is collected; a hash of the IP address, User-Agent, and a random number (“salt”) is kept in the process memory for 8 hours to identify a browsing session, and is never stored to disk.
