seems like ppl share a lot of stuff about themselves on these pages. i am personally not very keen on oversharing things at places i deem public, but i think there's a lot i can tell about myself either way.

let's give it a shot.

name's remi, or rem for short. i am twenty-something and growing, struggling to be in touch with societal expectations. despite majoring in computer science, i kind of resent computers and the IT field in general, but still undeniably see the former as my primary medium of creative expression wherever i plan to go.

i strive to be a creative person. i have not yet found my true passion, but at least i had a shot at drawing (never got anywhere with it), game development (it's pretty complicated), and writing software (buckled under the pressure of expectations and lost interests). i am currently trying myself at writing, with plans to also engage in video making. i once ran a youtube channel for which i made 4 videos (sadly unpreserved), and the fact that i actually made them is quite a strong motivator for me to try it once more. feels better to commit to something you know you're able to finish.

you could derogatorily describe me as a gamer and a weeb, and i would not particularly like those words because i am definitely not as passionate of either videogames or anime as i used to be. i am definitely somewhat of a music nerd, and overall i have strongly defined opinions on all the media in general. since life has not been kind to me, my standards for things entertainment rose quite sharply over the years, but i find this impromptu pretentiousness quite appealing, as finding something that does meet my standards feels incredibly rewarding and fuels me with a lot of passion to keep going. i seek to put that passion into all my work going forward, however self-indulgent it may seem.

i am not yet comfortable sharing my profile pages on resources like anilist or rate your music, but i am an active user of the latter as well as its videogame counterpart glitchwave, both of which i highly recommend for tracking music, movies and games alike.
